According to the Union of Airports of Georgia, in the context of the pandemic, a positive trend in air transportation is observed at the renewed Kutaisi International Airport.

In November, compared to the same period in 2019, 48% of passenger traffic was restored at the David Agmashenebeli Kutaisi Airport. Kutaisi International Airport served 34,217 passengers. (2019 - 72,032 passengers).

In addition to passenger traffic, Kutaisi International Airport also has a positive trend in terms of restoring the number of flights. In November, the airport resumed 65% of flights and serviced 163 flights. (2019 - 250 flights).

According to the Association of Georgian Airports, at this stage, 4 airlines operate in 23 directions at the Kutaisi international airport.

On December 15, a new airline, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, will start operating at the renovated Kutaisi International Airport. It is the first airline to be founded by the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air outside Europe. Its base is located in the capital of the United Arab Emirates and operates direct scheduled flights from Abu Dhabi to various destinations in Europe.
