As a result of the explosion and fire at the Surmalu shopping center in Yerevan, the death toll rose to 6 people.
According to the press secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan, some time ago, rescuers pulled out another body from under the ruins.
As of 8 o'clock in the morning, the number of missing people is 16 people.
“At the moment, fire and rescue and search and rescue operations are underway, the fire has not yet been localized, search work continues,” the representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
To recall, on August 14, a powerful explosion occurred in the Surmalu shopping center in Yerevan. At this stage, the cause of the explosion is unknown.
