One person was detained by the Investigative Service of Georgia on the facts of counterfeiting money

Employees of the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as a result of operational-search activities and investigative actions, detained one person for selling counterfeit money on a large scale.
“The investigation found that the defendants, in order to obtain illegal material gain, sold in Tbilisi a total of 36,200 US dollars in counterfeit banknotes of 50 and 100 dollars.The investigation is underway under article 212, part 2, paragraph "A" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for a term of 7 to 10 years.Appropriate measures are being taken to identify and expose other persons involved in the commission of this crime.
