A criminal case has been opened against Lasha Nakaidze, a journalist from Mtavari Arkhi, under three articles.
The investigation is underway under the first part of Article 126 (violence), the first part of Article 137 (rape) and the second part of Article 151 (threat) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
For your information, on August 16, Lasha Nakaidze, the host of Mtavari Arkhi, was detained for sexual violence. According to reports, the injured woman herself turned to the police for help.
In connection with the incident, Mtavari Arkhi issued a statement.

On August 15, 2022, one of the employees of the Main Channel reported the incident to the police, after which the injured woman was examined, interrogated, and based on her testimony, Lasha Nakaidze was detained.
Based on the seriousness of the accusation against Nakaidze, Mtavari Arkhi considers it necessary to stop any cooperation with him, however, if the crime is not proven, the TV channel will reconsider the possibility of restoring business relations with Lasha Nakaidze,” - the TV company said in a statement.
