The de facto government of the so-called South Ossetia released two Georgian citizens detained for crossing the "border".
“On December 15, 2021, citizens of Georgia, a resident of the village of Avlevi Tamaz Gogichaishvili and a resident of Tbilisi Zaza Megrelishvili, were detained in Znauri district. They violated the border and smuggled cigarettes," the so-called security committee said.
According to the same information, two Georgian citizens were handed over to the Georgian side after the verdict passed by the “court”. Both were sentenced to 6 years of probation.
