The Girchi party will support the creation of a temporary parliamentary commission of inquiry to investigate the actions taken against former President Mikheil Saakashvili at the Gori military hospital.
This was stated by the chairman of the party, Iago Khvicia, after a meeting with a member of the National Movement, Khatia Dekanoidze.
He said that it is important for the party to rely on colleagues if it becomes necessary in the future to set up a commission of inquiry.
“It is important for us to have leverage and, if we need to create a commission of inquiry in the future, we can hope for our colleagues.
Negotiations will continue with various parties. Khatia is going to hold a lot of negotiations. Before that, you will also see how certain agreements are being implemented. “For us, what was said yesterday is, in general, the final agreement,” said Iago Hvicia.
A few days ago it became known that the Citizens party would not support the creation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry.

To create a parliamentary commission, the signatures of 50 deputies are required.
