“It’s as if the entire political class of Georgia is playing cat and mouse, and we have a clear lack of state thinking, no result-oriented policy, none of the parties is pursuing it,” political expert Gia Khukhashvili believes.

According to Gia Khukhashvili, the ruling team and the opposition must comply with the recommendations of the European Union.
According to him, the fate of Georgia is not decided by someone's visits, it is necessary to act and take concrete steps towards the goal.
“Oliver Varhey made some pretty good statements. He spoke about the European perspective of Georgia, about the ways to find a consensus, the fulfillment of the conditions that the EU has set for Georgia, after which the following assessments should follow. In the usual style, the government saw in these statements support for its own political power, the opposition has an ambiguous attitude to this topic, they even called the European Commissioner "Kots" ("Dreamer"), unfortunately, this game continues in Georgia.
We must be well aware that the fate of Georgia is not decided by these statements, visits, rhetoric. We have certain obligations, certain reservations and conditions for obtaining the status of a candidate, which we seem to have been striving for at least in words. If these conditions are not met, no matter who comes and no matter what statements are made, it is an illusion to talk about any results," Gia Khukhashvili noted.
A political expert says the entire political class is playing cat and mouse.
According to Khukhashvili, no party is pursuing a result-oriented policy.
“Our political elite is mainly focused on foreign facade policy. The statements of some people who actually do not make any decisions are taken very painfully. Therefore, we are constantly divided - one declares victory, the other will accordingly be angry. In the end, both are losers. Such actions are detrimental to the public interest, and we cannot take any steps forward.
The government is not going to do anything, and we know it, they are trying to blame everything on the opposition. As if the entire political class of Georgia is involved in the game of Cat and Mouse, and we have a clear lack of state thinking. No results-oriented policy is pursued by any party. We need to think about business and achieve concrete results, no matter what anyone says, the result will be deplorable for the country, ”the political scientist noted.
