“We openly support the aspiration of Georgians to join NATO,” North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski said.
Pendarovsky says he sees no reason why Georgia or other countries should be prevented from becoming members of the alliance.
“NATO policy for decades has been an open door policy and cannot be changed. We support Georgia's aspirations to become a member of NATO, and we also support the entry of other members of the Eastern Partnership into NATO. We believe that the door to NATO should be open to anyone who wants to join the alliance. I see no reason why Georgia or other countries should be prevented from joining NATO. All states have the sovereign right to choose their own policies and alliances,” - the President of North Macedonia said.
