Doctors in Marneuli were able to save the fetus of a pregnant woman who died in a building collapse. The baby is now in the clinic, under the supervision of doctors.
“The patient was dead on admission, the fetus had a single heartbeat, she was immediately operated on to save the fetus. “After a caesarean section, resuscitation measures were taken. After we removed the fetus, a cardiac arrest occurred, but as a result of resuscitation measures, the child survived,” doctor Lela Sulakvelidze said .
Two more children injured in the collapse of the balcony remain in the hospital.
“One 8-year-old child was delivered to our clinic. “In a state of severe shock, with multiple injuries, a closed craniocerebral injury, a fracture of the femur, extensive wounds,” the doctor said.
For reference: on June 26, the balcony of the 5th floor of a 5-storey residential building and the balcony of the 4th floor collapsed in Marneuli, killing 2 people.
