Deputies of the Georgian parliament from Lelo Ana Natsvlishvili and another opposition MP Armaz Akhvlediani will initiate a bill "On the ban on pyrotechnics" in the Parliament of Georgia.

The bill provides for a ban on the import, storage and sale of pyrotechnics, with the exception of category F1 pyrotechnics, which are at a safe distance of one meter and can be used indoors, and the use of other categories of pyrotechnics will be allowed only on the basis of a government decree.

According to Natsvlishvili, people uncontrollably use pyrotechnics for entertainment, which often leads to serious damage to human health, as well as damage to the environment, and harm to birds and animals.

According to the bill, after the adoption of the law, individuals and legal entities will be fined 1,000 and 5,000 lari for the illegal use of pyrotechnics.
