Georgian citizen Mamuka Chkhikvadze, illegally detained in Tskhinvali, was sentenced by the occupation regime to 3 years and 8 months in prison.

According to the "Security Service" of so-called South Ossetia, Chkhikvadze "made an attempt to smuggle drugs into the territory of the republic."

“On December 10, 2021, Georgian citizen Mamuka Chkhikvadze, born in 1981, was detained on charges of violating the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia. During a personal search, more than 4 grams of the marijuana drug was found.

On August 4, the Tskhinvali court found Chkhikvadze guilty of smuggling narcotic drugs on a large scale and sentenced him to 3 years and 8 months in prison.
