Tskhinvali Court Detains Two Georgian Citizens

The Tskhinvali court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention in relation to two citizens of Georgia.
Levan Petriashvili and Archil Basanidze are illegally detained on the territory of the so-called South Ossetia and they have already been transported from the Tskhinvali detention center to prison.
Petriashvili lives in Ergneti. On May 15, representatives of the South Ossetian federal authorities detained him, and on the second day, Petriashvili's friend Archil Basanidze, was also detained.
According to the State Security Service of Georgia, the EU Monitoring Mission, international partners and co-chairs of the Geneva discussions were informed about the incidents. The hotline was promptly activated.
