Sixteen people died from frostbite in snow-covered vehicles near a Pakistani mountain resort.
Among the dead there are 8 members of the same family. The tragedy took place near the city of Muri. There are children among the victims.
The armed forces are involved in clearing roads and rescuing people.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said he was shocked by the death of tourists. The Prime Minister instructed the relevant departments to investigate the tragedy so that such cases do not recur in the future.
Muri resort is located 50 km from the capital of the country Islamabad and is a popular winter resort. Millions of tourists come here every year.
