The solemn ceremony of the oath and inauguration of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place on Saturday at the country's parliament building in Ankara.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of 78 countries, including heads of state and government of 20 countries.
Erdogan, 69, has been elected for a third presidential term, until 2028.
Later, Erdogan will lay a wreath at the mausoleum of the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. A dinner is also planned in honor of the guests who arrived at the event.
Erdogan should also name the new composition of the Turkish cabinet.
Erdogan won the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey, which took place on May 28. According to the data, after processing 99.75% of the ballots, Erdogan received 52.1% of the vote, while his opponent, opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, scored 47.9%.
