I evaluate the possibility of Ukraine to join the EU specifically, I think Ukraine is waiting for a slightly different historical path - Arrestovich

"I welcome the fact that Ukraine granted the status of an EU candidate, but I evaluate the possibility of Ukraine to join the EU specifically" - the adviser to the head of the Office of  President of Ukraine Alexei Antystovich said in the program "Feigin Live".

“The arrival of leaders of leading European countries to Ukraine, of course, means our support. They directly stated that no agreement with Russia would be reached without us and that Kyiv would not be provided with no pressure in order to sign a peace agreement. Ukraine itself will decide when to start negotiations with Russia and what conditions to agree during peace negotiations. It is also extremely important and I welcome Ukraine the status of a candidate in the EU, however, I evaluate the possibility of Ukraine’s entry into the EU specifically. I believe that Ukraine has a different historical path ahead than membership in the European Union, ”- said Arrestovich.

At the same time, according to the adviser to the head of the presidential apparatus, this is a great moral and political victory of Ukraine.

Arrestovich also said that Europe would continue to provide Ukraine with military, political and humanitarian assistance.

For reference, on June 16, the German Chancellor Olaf Sholts, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draga and Romania President Klaus Johannes arrived in Kyiv.
