A Russian military base is on fire in the Dzhankoy region of Crimea. Explosions are heard from the side of the base.
“We hit the orc base in Azovskoye well and accurately. The sounds of explosions have been heard for more than an hour,” Refat Chubarov, chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, wrote on Facebook.

According to him, it is most likely that a Ukrainian missile or projectile hit a Russian ammunition depot. Chubarov says that "the Crimean gauleiter Aksyonov left for the village of Maiskoye, which is located 1 km from the base."

On the morning of August 16, explosions were heard at the Russian base in the Dzhankoy region. As deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharenko wrote, a fire broke out in the ammunition depot in the village of  Azovskoye.
