The authorities of the Netherlands allowed the staff of the embassy in Kiev and their families to leave Ukraine, according to Ukrainian media.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra gave the go-ahead for the departure of the embassy staff from Kiev in connection with the possible aggression of Russia against Ukraine.
"Employees of the Dutch embassy in Ukraine and their families can return to their homeland if they wish," the minister said.
According to him, at the moment the Netherlands does not consider Ukraine a dangerous zone and sees no reason for a complete evacuation. The Embassy of the Netherlands in Kiev continues to work as usual.
The Dutch government has previously stated that it will help Kiev in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
