The sides discussed the existing security environment in the region, the situation in Georgia's occupied territories, the Russian policy towards Georgia, the prospects of Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
According to the Advisor to the President of Georgia for Foreign Affairs, Tengiz Pkhaladze, Lithuania is a strategic partner of Georgia and the issues discussed at the meeting with the Lithuanian Prime Minister concerned bilateral relations between Georgia and Lithuania, as well as multilateral cooperation formats.
The cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania in the EU and NATO formats was particularly emphasized at the meeting.
The sides also discussed the prospects of economic cooperation, as well.
"Our countries have a growing and positive dynamic in every direction and the talk was about how these opportunities could be increased," - Tengiz Pkhaladze noted.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia, Giorgi Abashishvili, the Secretary of the National Security Council, Davit Rakviashvili, the Advisor to the President of Georgia for Foreign Affairs, Tengiz Pkhaladze and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, Khatuna Salukvadze.
