Giorgi Menabde was found guilty of the premeditated murder of David Saralidze. By the decision of Judge Valerian Bugianishvili, Menabde was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
The decision was announced at the Tbilisi City Court.
According to representatives of the defense, as soon as the verdict is received in writing, it will certainly be appealed.
For information, the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested Giorgi Menabde on April 14, 2021 for the murder of David Saralidze.
In the course of the investigation it was established that the detained Georgy Menabde, together with Giorgi Janashia and Mikheil Kalandia, deliberately killed the underage David Saralidze with a sharp object.
Giorgi Janashia, Guga Barbakadze and Mikheil Kalandia were convicted in the murder case on Khorava Street on December 1, 2017, as a result of which two teenagers, David Saralidze and Levan Dadunashvili, were killed.
Note, that Giorgi Janashia, convicted of the premeditated group murder of David Saralidze, left the colony on parole in December 2020. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison because he pleaded guilty.
As for Mikheil Kalandia, he was sentenced by all three instances of the court to 11 years and 3 months in prison.
