In Egypt, a shark attacked a Russian while he was swimming in the sea. The tragedy happened at Dream Beach in Hurghada. Eyewitnesses posted a video on the Web, which shows that the man tried to swim away from the shark, but the predator pulled him under water. The locals on the boat tried to help the tourist, but it was too late. The girl who was swimming nearby was able to escape.
Dream Beach is considered one of the most popular and well-maintained in Hurghada. It is located near the airport and the five-star Hurghada Marriott Beach Resort. After the incident, all the beaches in the city were closed. And the local maritime police warn tourists that being in the water is dangerous.
This is not the first time sharks have attacked tourists in Egypt. In the summer of 2022, there were five similar incidents, then two tourists from Romania and Austria died.
