In Georgia, pensions will increase starting in 2026 and will amount to 495 GEL

From 2026, the old-age pension will rise — this is stated in the first draft of the 2026 budget, which the Government of Georgia has already submitted to parliament.
According to the budget draft, the pension for retirees aged 70 and older will increase by 45 GEL and will amount to 495 GEL. For pensioners of the same age group living in highland settlements, the pension will almost reach 594 GEL. The pension for people under 70 will increase by 20 GEL and will be set at 370 GEL, while in highland settlements it will amount to 444 GEL.
In addition, according to the draft, aside from pensions, an increase in social benefits is also planned: for persons with severe disabilities and for children with disabilities under 18 years of age — by 45 GEL, and for other categories of persons with disabilities — by 20 GEL.
