With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the organization of the Rural Development Agency, a Georgian national pavilion was set up at the international exhibition SIAL SHENZHEN, held in the city of Shenzhen (People’s Republic of China), where eight Georgian companies showcased their products. This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.“For the second year in a row, a Georgian pavilion has been presented at the international exhibition SIAL SHENZHEN, where visitors can discover Georgian products.Our goal is to provide maximum support to Georgian entrepreneurs in presenting their products to guests of prestigious exhibitions, which is important for diversifying export markets and subsequently establishing active trade relations.Meetings held with potential partners during the exhibition create expectations for future cooperation,” said Nika Urushadze, Acting Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency of Georgia, while attending the international exhibition SIAL SHENZHEN.The companies participating in the international exhibition included: LLC Achinebuli, LLC Hobi, LLC Nuts Incorporated, LLC Winery Chelti, LLC Royal Nuts, LLC Tsinandali Plus, LLC Tskali Margebeli, and JSC Teliani Valley. The companies presented Georgian hazelnuts, honey, wine, juices, and water.In 2025, more than 55,000 companies from 75 countries took part in SIAL SHENZHEN; this year, the exhibition was visited by up to 70,000 people.It should be noted that “SIAL” exhibitions are held not only in Shenzhen (SHENZHEN), but also in Paris, Montreal, Toronto, Shanghai, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.The international exhibition took place from September 1 to 3.

As part of the tour, the guests were introduced to Georgian winemaking traditions and modern technologies in Kakheti and Kartli, and they tasted various types of Georgian wines produced both in qvevri and by the classical method.“This is my first visit to Georgia. Here I saw how closely culture, wine, food, and people are interconnected. For a sommelier, who stands at the table and talks to customers, it is very important to be able to tell the story. This is especially impressive for me. The wines are delicious, and I received answers to many questions about winemaking, qvevri, different grape varieties, and micro-zones. For me, being here is a true honor,” noted Leanne Altmann, an Australian participant of the group, sommelier, and Director of Beverages at the restaurant group Trader House.For the tour participants, a Georgian wine tasting was also held in Tbilisi, where wines from 16 producers were presented.One of the main directions of the National Wine Agency’s activities is the promotion of Georgian wine and raising its awareness in international markets.As part of supporting the promotion of Georgian wine, the agency carries out targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the markets of the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia with the aim of diversifying markets.
