The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has charged one individual with commercial bribery and with the fabrication and distribution of a forged prescription for the purchase of a psychotropic substance. This was reported by the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office.
“The investigation conducted by the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia established that the director of the ‘Center for Psycho-Diagnostics and Psycho-Correction’ LLC, operating in the Kakheti region, illegally prepared and issued prescriptions intended for the purchase of psychotropic substances in exchange for money.

The detainee has been charged under Part 3 of Article 221 (commercial bribery) and Subparagraph ‘b’ of Part 2 of Article 268 (using official position to fabricate and distribute a forged prescription for the purchase of a psychotropic substance) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a penalty of up to six years of imprisonment.

The Prosecutor’s Office has already applied to the Telavi District Court with a motion to impose pre-trial detention as a preventive measure,” the statement from the Prosecutor’s Office says.
