Former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy killed in Lviv

On August 30, in Lviv, current deputy and former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy was killed. This was reported by Ukrainian media.
According to the reports, Parubiy was shot five times. He died at the scene from his injuries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also commented on Parubiy’s murder.
“Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko have just informed me about the terrible murder in Lviv. Andriy Parubiy has died. I extend my condolences to his family and friends. All necessary forces and resources have been mobilized to investigate the murder and find the killer,” President Zelensky stated.
Parubiy served as Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from April 14, 2016, to August 28, 2019.
