Officers of the Zestafoni and Chiatura district divisions of the Imereti Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained three individuals — previously convicted G.T., born in 1966, currently under a suspended sentence; J.H., born in 1981; and M.H., born in 1973. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
According to the ministry, the crime carries a sentence of imprisonment from 6 to 12 years.
“During searches of the defendants’ residential houses, household plots, and auxiliary premises, police seized as evidence 230 cannabis plants containing narcotic substances, which had been sown and cultivated by the detainees.
The investigation is being conducted under Part 1 and subparagraph ‘a’ of Part 3 of Article 265^1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the statement reads.
