As a result of close coordination between the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the ministry’s relevant units, 30 foreign citizens were expelled from the country, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

According to the agency, as a result of complex measures carried out in recent days, citizens of India, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Russia, Belarus, Iraq, Jordan, and Lithuania were expelled from Georgia.

Under current legislation, the expelled individuals have been banned from entering the country.

“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its powers is identifying foreign citizens residing in Georgia without legal grounds and carrying out their expulsion from the country,” the ministry noted.
