President of Georgia Sets Local Self-Government Elections for October 4

According to a decree issued by the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, local self-government elections in Georgia will be held on October 4, 2025. The decree was also signed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze.
“In accordance with subparagraph ‘g’ of the first paragraph of Article 52 of the Constitution of Georgia and the first and second paragraphs of Article 133 of the Organic Law of Georgia ‘Election Code of Georgia,’ regular elections of the representative body of the municipality — the Sakrebulo — as well as of the mayor of a self-governing city/self-governing community, are scheduled for October 4, 2025,” the presidential decree No. N05/08/01 states.
