One of the leaders of the Georgian national team and French club Paris Saint-Germain, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, has been officially named among the contenders for the 2025 Ballon d'Or — the most prestigious individual football award.
Kvaratskhelia is included in the list of 30 nominees published by the award’s organizer, France Football magazine.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been a player for Paris Saint-Germain since January 2025, having transferred from Napoli. In May, he became a UEFA Champions League winner with the French club.
This is the second time in his career that the 24-year-old Georgian footballer has been nominated for the Ballon d'Or. In 2023, he finished in 17th place.
