“We are not interested in how the opposition is preparing for these elections; we are interested in how we are preparing,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, in a statement to journalists.
According to the head of government, the goal of the ruling party is to win both the mayoral and Sakrebulo (municipal council) elections in all 64 municipalities.
“There are only two months left until the elections, and the opposition still hasn’t even decided on a candidate for Tbilisi mayor. The candidates being discussed indicate that the opposition is facing serious difficulties. That’s their business. We are not interested in how they are preparing for the elections. We are interested in how we are preparing. As you can see, we are preparing very actively. We have a single goal — to win both the mayoral and Sakrebulo elections in all 64 municipalities, and we are absolutely confident that we will win in both directions. We have our own agenda, and we are acting fully in accordance with it,” the Prime Minister of Georgia stated.
