The National Environmental Agency of Georgia has released a weather forecast for the coming days.
According to the forecast, from the afternoon of August 8 through August 11, rain and thunderstorms are expected across Georgia. In some areas, heavy precipitation is anticipated, along with strong winds from the west, possible hail, and stormy seas with waves reaching 3–4 on the Beaufort scale.
The expected rainfall may cause flash floods on small rivers in Georgia and could trigger or intensify landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous areas (hazard level: medium).
