Stalin Monument Restored in Tskhinvali

A monument to Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin has been restored in Tskhinvali after being previously damaged by schoolchildren, reports Echo of the Caucasus.
Children in Tskhinvali had damaged the statue’s nose and eye, which have now been repaired. The monument stands on the grounds of the Tskhinvali bread factory.
A few days ago, three teenagers in Tskhinvali decided that Joseph Stalin had a negative impact on the fate of the Ossetian people. They believed the Soviet leader should be held accountable and defaced the statue’s face.
