Mtskheta-Mtianeti police detain 3 people on drug charges — particularly large quantities of narcotics seized

Officers from the Mtskheta District Police Department and Saguramo Police, under the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, conducted operational and investigative actions that resulted in the detention of previously convicted N.Ts., born in 1992, and A.S., born in 1994, as well as a citizen of the Republic of India, U.A., born in 2004. They are accused of purchasing, possessing, and selling particularly large quantities of narcotic substances as part of a group acting by prior agreement.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during personal searches of the suspects, searches of their homes, and in locations indicated by them, law enforcement officers seized as evidence 69 packages containing narcotic substances — “methadone” and “MDMA” — prepared for further sale.
The investigation is being conducted under Part 1 of Article 260, subparagraphs “b” and “e” of Part 5 of Article 260^4, and subparagraph “a” of Part 6 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
