The National Environmental Agency of Georgia has released information regarding the weather forecast for the coming days.
According to the agency, from the evening of September 18 until the second half of September 20, rain is expected across Georgia, in some places heavy, with possible thunderstorms, hail, strong winds, and stormy seas with waves reaching 3–4 on the Beaufort scale.
The expected precipitation may cause a significant rise in water levels in Georgia’s rivers, flash floods in smaller rivers, as well as the initiation and intensification of landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous areas (hazard level — medium).
