Russian travel agencies will receive benefits when operating in the occupied territories of Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia, Apsadgil.info reports.
For companies that bring tourists to these destinations, as well as to Belarus, a reduced financial liability requirement will apply. For them, it will amount to 500,000 Russian rubles (about 6,000 USD), whereas for other companies similar guarantee sums reach tens of millions of rubles.
According to Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, this decision will lower prices for tourists and make tours more affordable.
